How is mesothelioma treated

Your respiratory physician and/or oncologist will discuss with you what (if any) treatment should be undertaken. It is important to remember that your individual circumstances need to be assessed when considering treatment options. Treatment for one person suffering mesothelioma may not be appropriate in your specific circumstance.

Chemotherapy; radiotherapy; the performing of a talc pleurodesis; and surgery are some of the treatment options that can be considered by your doctor. Your doctor will provide the relevant advice about such options and discuss the pros or cons of undertaking such treatment.
